I'm New Here
What to Expect
People gather here weekly to be in the presence of Jesus. God visits us with His Word and His gifts. Awed by the majesty of God's presence, we return back to Him thanks and praise by praying and singing songs. The pastor preaches the Word of God, explaining a passage of the Bible each week. The Word of God both tells us who God is and who we are to be. It is deeply practical for both how we should think and what we should do. For those who have been taught its meaning and purpose, the Lord's Supper is celebrated for the faithful to receive the forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation. We would love all to join us for this special meal, but we ask that any guests and visitors talk to the pastor before receiving this gift of God.

Children
We believe that young children need to be brought to Jesus (Mark 10:14); what better way is there than including them in the regular worship life of the church? We do not have a staffed nursery during church because we want families to worship together. We have busy bags for the children which include bulletins for them to color and fill out and books which teach them important Bible stories.

What if I've never been to church? Or a Lutheran church?
You are more than welcome, especially if you've never been to church before. Some of the things you see or hear might be completely new to you. That is a good thing! Please come and observe, even if you might feel out of place. Just like when someone gets into a new hobby or activity, there is plenty of time to grow and learn. The Word of God is living and active. It will begin to work God's will in your life from the very beginning.
If you've been to church before, but not a Lutheran one, welcome! Again, things might be different than you've experienced. Please ask questions! As disciples of God's Word, we have a reason for what we do on Sunday mornings. We hope the preaching of God's Word will be clear and useful for you. We hope you can join us for the Lord's Super after the proper conversation and teaching occurs.

God's Gift to All People
Since humans have fallen under God's curse of death and hell, God has secured the way to life and salvation. That way? Through the forgiveness of sins. Jesus regularly distributes this forgiveness through His promises. In preaching, Jesus has sent His servant, the pastor, to proclaim the Word. In Baptism, Jesus washes a lost and condemned sinner with the bath of rebirth and renewal. In the Lord's Supper, Jesus offers His body and blood from His sacrifice on the cross for the benefit of all who eat and drink of it.
